We are seeking a proactive and organised Electrical Installations Technician to join a thriving Electrical Installations department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on electrical experience who enjoys practical work, maintaining high standards, and supporting learners within a workshop environment.

This role could also provide a pathway into teaching and assessing for those interested in progressing within education and training.

What You'll Be Doing

As an Electrical Installations Technician, you will provide essential support to practical learning programmes, ensuring workshops, equipment and training resources are fully prepared, maintained and operating effectively.

Key responsibilities include:

• Maintaining workshop equipment and carrying out basic repairs where appropriate.
• Preparing tools, materials, assessment areas and equipment for practical lessons and demonstrations.
• Supporting lecturers during practical sessions, demonstrations and assessments.
• Ensuring workshops remain safe, organised and compliant with Health & Safety requirements.
• Assisting with the development and preparation of practical learning activities.
• Contributing to team meetings and the ongoing development of the Electrical Installations provision.
• Supporting a positive and professional learning environment for students.

What We're Looking For

You will have:

• A minimum Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installations.
• At least one year's relevant trade experience within an electrical environment.
• Experience of electrical maintenance and repair.
• Up-to-date knowledge of Health & Safety regulations relating to Electrical Installations.
• Strong communication, organisational and administrative skills.
• The ability to build positive working relationships with both colleagues and students.
• A proactive, reliable and team-focused approach.
